Murtaröl is much more than a restaurant: it is a piece of Engadine history. Founded in 1880 as a guesthouse and stagecoach stop on the Maloja Pass, in the 1980s it became a landmark for those seeking the best fresh fish in the Alps.
The choice was visionary: bringing the sea to the mountains when no one else was doing it. Today, more than 45 years later, we continue this tradition with the same passion: daily deliveries from the Milan fish market, live fish from our tanks, and a selection that has made Murtaröl an institution throughout Switzerland.
